ABOUT NGCI
New Guinea Coffee International Ltd is a specialty coffee trading & export company based in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. NGCI has more than fifty years of heritage within the Papua New Guinea coffee industry, with our founder having worked in the industry since the 1970’s.
At altitude in the Highlands, the company has built their own washing and drying facilities, a state of the art dry factory, with an export facility at the port of Lae. Owning their own infrastructure along the supply chain allows for NGCI to control and maintain their high quality.

PNG’s coffee production dates back one hundred years. However, it wasn’t until the 1970’s that infrastructure developed to a scale that allowed the Industry to flourish. Today, coffee production is the country’ss second-largest agricultural export, involving nearly three million people on primarily small, mixed-production coffee gardens.
